Help & guide

Everything you need to know to get your menu running on your screens. If something's unclear — message us on WhatsApp +996 999 071-071 or at hello@tablo.kg. Download the one-page guide (A4) →

1. Sign up and first login

Go to tablo.kg/signup, fill in your venue name, your name, email, city, and a password (8+ characters).

Right after signing up you land in the cabinet on the Freeplan: 3 screens, 500 MB storage, free forever. No card, no trial period.

As soon as you want to connect a 4th screen or turn on groups/schedule/team — in the Billing section, set up a Business or Enterprise plan.

2. Installing the player on an Android TV

The "Tablo" player is sideloaded (no Google Play) — the same procedure works for Android TV boxes, Xiaomi Mi Box, Mecool, any Android Smart TV.

Step A · Download the APK

  1. ⬇ Download tablo-player.apk — to your phone or straight to a flash drive. It also opens right on the TV box if it has a built-in browser (type on the remote tablo.kg/help and tap this same button).

Step B · Allow installs from unknown sources

  1. On the TV box: Settings → Device → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources (the path may differ slightly on some firmware, but the option is always there).
  2. Flip the toggle to "Allow" for the file manager or browser you'll use to open the APK.

Step C · Install the APK

  1. Copy the APK to the TV box: via USB flash drive, Google Drive, X-plore File Manager, or download it directly on the box through its built-in browser.
  2. Open the APK — Android will ask for confirmation → "Install".
  3. After installing, "Tablo" appears «Табло».

Step D · Pair the screen

  1. In the cabinet: "Screens" → "+ Add screen", enter a name (e.g. "Chuy 154 — register").
  2. The cabinet shows a 6-digit pairing code, valid for 24 hours.
  3. Launch the app on the TV. On first start it asks for a server address — enterhttp://tablo.kg (or a local IP if you're on a LAN).
  4. Enter the 6-digit code → the screen is paired. It then pulls your playlist on its own.

Step E · Auto-start after the TV powers on

By default, Android TV may not launch "Tablo" automatically. Three options:

  • On most firmware — Settings → Apps → Tablo → "Launch on startup".
  • Or install the free "Autostart & Stay Alive" from the Play Store and add "Tablo".
  • Or enable "Resume last activity" on the TV — then after a power cycle, "Tablo" picks up right where it left off.

Don't want to deal with it yourself? We'll pick out and deliver the box, mount the TV, and set up the first screen on site — a one-time service, separate from your subscription. Message us on WhatsApp →

5. Ads on the Free plan

On the Free plan, "Tablo" or partner ad clips are automatically inserted into your playlist. Rules:

  • no more than one clip per 5 items of your own content;
  • clip length — up to 30 seconds;
  • sound is off (screens sit in venues without speakers);
  • no more than 30 plays of a given clip on one screen per day.

Ads are moderated — no alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or politics.

Turn ads off by upgrading to Business or Enterprise — both plans are ad-free entirely.

6. Scheduling breakfast and evening menus

Business+ Go to Schedule → "Add interval". Example: from 8:00 to 11:00, show the "Breakfast" playlist on the "All locations" group.

Priority: the higher the number, the more important the layer. A morning menu at priority 5 overrides the base menu at priority 1.

If no schedule is active, the screen's own default playlist is shown.

This is not the same as turning the screen on or off. This only switches playlists by time — the screen keeps running. To make a screen actually go dark at night and turn back on in the morning, go to "Screens" → select a screen → "Screen settings" — the "Power on at" and "Power off at" fields are there. For several screens at once, use the "Groups" section, "Apply to group" button.

7. Quick price changes

Open a menu board, tap a price, type the new one — Enter. The change saves in the cabinet right away, but hasn't reached the screens yet.

A panel appears at the bottom: "Unpublished: N changes". Click «Publish» — all edits go out in one batch. Screens get the update within a minute.

Bulk edit: the "Raise prices by %" button in the editor — percentage, direction, round to 5 som. Applies to the entire menu board at once.

8. Staff roles

Business+ Go to Team → "Invite". Three roles:

  • Owner — can do everything. Usually one or two people.
  • Manager — edits prices and menus, publishes. Cannot add/remove screens or staff.
  • Viewer — lands in the simplified "Operator" mode: sees only their venue's screens and can switch a playlist on them with one click. Doesn't see settings, staff, billing, or the rest of the cabinet.

Hand the password to the staff member yourself. There's no automatic email invite yet.

On the Free plan only one user works — the owner.

9. Payment and renewal

The Free plan is free forever, no payment needed. The Billing section in the cabinet shows your current plan, screen count, and city.

To move to Business or Enterprise: "Renew or change plan" → pick a plan and screen count → submit a request. We reach out, issue an invoice, or accept a card transfer.

Once the money arrives, the cabinet status updates automatically. No auto-renewal: to continue, start a new period. If not, screens over the free quota move to "awaiting payment" — your data is not lost.

10. Updating the player to a new version

Google Play plays no part in this — but there are two ways to do it, and the player itself can update remotely; manual is only needed the very first time.

Method 1 · from the cabinet (easier). "Screens" → pick a screen → "↑ Update software" button. The player downloads the new version itself and shows a system install prompt — on the screen itself, press "Install" once on the remote. The player also checks for updates on its own once an hour.

Method 2 · manually. If the box still has an old version that can't check for updates itself:

  1. Download the new APK file — the same button as in step 2 of this guide.
  2. Copy it to the TV box (same way as during install).
  3. Open the APK → "Install" → Android installs the new version over the old one, keeping settings and the pairing code.

You can update without turning the TV off — the player restarts itself after installing.

11. What to do if...

The screen shows "no connection" — check the router. The player reconnects on its own once the internet is back; meanwhile the old menu keeps playing from the offline cache.

Changes didn't show up — make sure you clicked "Publish". The button at the bottom shows the number of unreleased edits.

The screen went silent — from the screen card: "Reboot" button. The device restarts and picks up a fresh manifest.

Forgot your password — on the login page, click «Forgot password?», leave your email → we'll send a one-time link via WhatsApp / Telegram within the business day.

I want to replace the TV — delete the old screen from the cabinet, add a new one (you get a new pairing code), transfer the settings by hand.

Player doesn't launch itself after the TV turns on — turn on "Autostart" in your TV's app settings (see step E above).
